Description from the seller

Splendid 18-piece Crystal Dinnerware Set Val Saint Lambert – Gevaert Arlene Model!

For lovers of classic Belgian top-quality crystal: a beautiful and complete 18-piece crystal glass dinner set from the renowned Val Saint Lambert brand, executed in the sought-after line 'Gevaert Arlene' (production period 1943-1962).
This hand-cut dinnerware is immediately recognizable by the iconic cross-cut diamond structure (swirl/diamond cut) in the goblet and the distinctive sleek, faceted stem. The heavy lead crystal provides fabulous light refraction and the well-known clear VSL tone.
The set is in excellent vintage condition (no chips, cracks, or stubborn residues) and is perfect to set a chic, uniform dining table for 6 at once.
This timeless design provides a stunning light entry on a elegantly set table.

Contents of this 18-piece dinnerware set:
- 6x Large format (Water goblets / large wine glasses)
- 6x Medium format (Red wine glasses)
- 6x Small format (White wine glasses / liqueur glasses)
Specifications:
- Manufacturer: Val Saint Lambert (Belgium)
- Model: Gevaert Arlene (designed by Romain Gevaert)
- Material: High-quality, heavy lead crystal
- Quantity: 18 pieces in total (6 per size)

The crystal factory Val Saint Lambert is now 200 years old.
The company was officially founded in 1826.
This makes the brand one of the oldest and most prestigious icons of Belgian industrial history.

Four of the large glasses bear the original, sandblasted/engraved Val Saint Lambert maker’s mark on the bottom of the foot. This is completely in line with the factory’s tradition from that era, when sets were supplied with paper labels.
