Artist: Cumbone
Technique: Digital work on aluminum Dibond, enhanced with acrylic and aerosol spray
Dimensions: 70 × 100 cm
Year: 2018
Condition: Very good condition
Description
Produced in 2018, Kiss and Kill is an emblematic work of the bustling universe of Cumbone. Starting from a digital composition printed on aluminum Dibond, the artist directly applies acrylic paint and aerosol spray, giving each copy a unique character.
The composition juxtaposes a multitude of symbols, characters, typographies and graphic signs in a true controlled chaos. A large central eye immediately draws the eye, while references to urban culture, graffiti, pop art and contemporary imagery intertwine in an explosion of colors. Runs, superimpositions and gestural interventions reinforce the spontaneity of the work and testify to the artist's practice, at the boundary between digital creation and painting.
Kiss and Kill perfectly illustrates Cumbone's visual signature: a free, energetic and saturated aesthetic, where every detail invites a new reading.
