Italian vintage Baroque design vanity mirror with a patinated spelter frame and a glass mirror, dating to 1970–1980, external 34 cm high by 30 cm wide with internal 18 by 14 cm, and weighing 2 kg, in very good condition with slight signs of wear and age.
Description from the seller
Psyche dressing mirror, vintage, table-top tilt, in Baroque style, with a patinated bronze frame richly decorated and enriched by scenes and subjects in elegant bas-relief. Likely dating from the early part of the 20th century.
The frame and the pedestal feature lavish decoration that draws the viewer's attention, finely chased with putti, foliate motifs and enriched by a central dominating shell.
On the sides there are two decorative knobs that also allow adjusting the tilt of the mirror, exactly as in the photo.
The bronze presents a slight patina of oxidation across the entire surface, which creates a less bright effect, but not for this reason less elegant.
It is a refined piece of furniture, ideal for enriching a space with a historically charming element, with meticulous workmanship and a strong visual impact.
