Up for auction is an authentic Nintendo Game Boy Color (Purple variant, Model CGB-001), officially released in Japan. This is a highly collectible, vintage "Made in Japan" unit accompanied by its original packaging and documentation.

■ Historical Value (Launch Week Unit)
The included Japanese warranty card features a clear retail stamp showing the purchase date: October 26, 1998 (Heisei 10). Since the Game Boy Color officially launched in Japan on October 21, 1998, this document proves that the console was purchased just 5 days after its historical release. It is a wonderful piece of gaming history for serious collectors.

■ Important Note regarding Serial Numbers
Please be aware that the serial number on the console unit (C17670936) does not match the serial number printed on the included warranty card (C11039544). Both are authentic Nintendo products, but they were separated and mixed up at some point in the past.
The warranty card is included in this lot because it remains a valuable and rare historical document from the launch week. Clear photos of both numbers are provided for full transparency.

■ Condition Report

Functionality: Fully tested and working perfectly. The console powers on correctly (red power LED lights up), the display functions well, and it reads game cartridges smoothly. Sound, volume dial, and all buttons (D-pad, A/B, Select/Start) are fully operational. (Please note: The game software shown in the photos is for testing purposes only and is not included).

Console Body: Shows signs of regular use appropriate for its age. There are minor scratches and scuffs on the body and the screen lens, but there is no major structural damage. The original battery cover is present and secure.

Box & Manual: The original Japanese box and instruction manual/warranty card are included. The box shows some edge wear and aging, typical for a cardboard box from 1998.
