FRESH COPY.
5Uhr30.com guarantees detailed and accurate descriptions, 100% protection,
100% insurance and combined shipping worldwide.
Paris Musées. Paris Audiovisuel. 1986. First edition, first printing.
Paperback (as issued). 220 x 240 mm. 72 pages. Text: Bernard de Montgolfier, Henry Chapier, Francois Renaud. Interview with Ralph Gibson by Patrick Roegiers. Text in French.
Condition:
Inside excellent, very fresh and flawless; clean with no marks and with no foxing. Outside with excellent spine and well-preserved rear side, front with traces of a pen; apparently, someone used the book as a writing surface (it's nothing serious, but worth mentioning, the impressions are only visible when viewed against the light). Inside in very fine condition, outside in fine condition, so overall fine condition.
Great photo catalogue book by Ralph Gibson - in fresh condition.
Ralph Gibson began taking pictures while in the U.S. Navy in the 1950s, and later assisted Dorothea Lange and Robert Frank before establishing his own studio in New York. The recipient of NEA and Guggenheim grants, Gibson was made a Commandeur de l’Ordre des Arts et des Lettres by the French government in 2002.
