Antique Delft blue lion-head vase from 1890 by Royal Delft (Porceleyne Fles), a ceramic work from the Netherlands, Delft, height 25.5 cm and diameter 12 cm, with blue and white decor and lion head ornaments, in good used condition with minor signs of age and spots.

Antique Delft Blue Lion Head Vase – De Porceleyne Fles (Royal Delft) – Painter P.L. Dijkman – 1890
Description: A very handsome and fully authentic antique Delft blue decorative pottery vase from the renowned factory Koninklijke Porceleyne Fles (Royal Delft) from the year 1890 (year letter L). The vase has an elegant, slender body and on the sides is fitted with two characteristic, plastically formed lion head ears.
Diameter including the heads is 12 cm.
This type of vase on both sides is exceptionally richly and detailedly decorated in cartouches:
Front: A traditional Dutch landscape with a windmill by the water. Back: A atmospheric maritime river scene with Dutch sailing boats. The neck and foot are adorned with classic floral motifs and garlands. The underside is fully marked with the original factory mark (apothecary bottle with the initials JT and 'Delft'). Also bearing the painter's initials P.L. of master painter Petrus Leonardus Dijkman (active 1882–1922) and the year letter L (1890). In the ceramic are also impressed blind factory stamps.
