Armand Meffre (1929–2009) French actor and painter.
Iconic performer of theater and cinema, Armand Meffre acted under the direction of major filmmakers alongside Philippe Noiret, Jean Rochefort or Gérard Depardieu.
Trained in painting with the master André Lhote, he developed a sensitive, luminous, and deeply humane body of work. His canvases, imbued with tenderness and poetry, reveal a profoundly human gaze, between restrained emotion and sincere simplicity. A complete artist, each painting tells a story and is moving in its authenticity.
