Bateaux échoués is an oil painting on panel by Jules Lentrein (Belgium, 1875–1943) dating to 1930–1940, measuring 58 cm high by 76 cm wide, signed by hand, in the classical style, original edition, sold with frame by Galerie.

Jules Lentrein (born in Schaerbeek in 1875 and died there in 1943) was a Belgian painter, watercolorist and lithographer.
Biography
Jules Lentrein studied painting, watercolor and lithography at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts of Brussels. His works are mainly marine paintings, city views, and countryside landscapes. He also produced a few portraits and church interiors.
In the 1920s, Jules Lentrein produced a portrait of a woman showing an elegant lady wearing sumptuous jewelry. In 2011, the portrait then owned by Jean-Noel Cabanettes was identified as that of Princess Irina Alexandrovna of Russia by the Art Deco Society of California[1].
Dimensions of the work: without frame: 47 cm x 65 cm
with frame: 58 cm x 76 cm
The work is signed bottom left.
It shows some moisture marks; the panel is warped and cracked.
The frame is damaged; see photos.
