Antique brooch with a silver front and 18k gold back, fully pavéd with rose-cut diamonds including three larger central stones, dating from circa 1850–1900 and about 11 cm long.
Description from the seller
Splendid ancient brooch made in silver (front) and 750/1000 gold (back and clasp), as evidenced by the hallmark visible on the pin. The design depicts three stylized flowers connected by moving leaves, entirely pavé-set with antique rose-cut diamonds, with in the center of each flower a brilliant-cut/old-cut diamond.
Era: antique jewelry, presumably late 19th / early 20th century (openwork typical of Victorian/Edwardian jewelry)
Materials: silver over gold 750 (the 'silver over gold' technique, typical of the era to enhance the whiteness of the diamonds)
Stones: antique rose-cut diamonds pavé-set across the entire surface, with three larger central diamonds.
Clasp: gold brooch clasp, stamped 750
Dimensions: about 11 cm in length
Condition: good, natural patina of time, typical of antique silver.
