CRISTER DE MIGUEL CONDAL - AIXECA EL VOL

Sculpture designed as a unique and exclusive piece, made entirely through artisan processes and quality elements.

In the sculpture, the main element stands out: a black tourmaline mineral of extraordinary purity with dravite inclusions (brown tourmaline), suspended in the air by a steel support.

The mineral is highlighted by a refractory clay piece creating the form, as well as the ceramic glaze that gives it color, achieving an overall optimal balance.

Clay and glazes baked at a firing temperature of 1260º C.

The stylized design of this sculpture and the simplicity of the form enhance the presence of the mineral, ultimately a subtle harmony that facilitates a special energetic attraction between the work and the viewer who perceives it.

The sculptor Miguel Condal Martínez began his training with Robert Celades at the Gem and Precious Stone Carving School, to continue his artistic studies with sculptor Klaus Christ and later at the Municipal School of Artistic Studies of Terrassa.

With the collaboration of his wife, María Pilar Margarit, they created the CRISTER project, which is characterized by the creation of sculptural ensembles focused on enhancing their optimal energetic balance.

Through the process of creating each work, attention is given to the quality of the selection of every element that composes it, from the natural minerals incorporated as a fundamental piece, through the design of the form, the shaping of the clay, the formulation of glazes, and the finishing of the piece with a writing inspired by the work as a whole.

To achieve the harmonic objective proposed in the Crister project works, the symbolic presence of the four elements—air, fire, water, and earth—plus human manifestation in each set has been taken into account.
