Every surface tells a story. Through touch, movement, and time itself, traces appear that inscribe themselves slowly and then disappear again. "Abrieb" picks up this quiet process: black structures seem to have been dragged over the white surface, blurred and worn away. What remains are fragments – memories of something that was once clearer, denser, or more tangible.

The work moves between presence and loss. The vertical traces resemble signs of a past action, like traces of life itself: irregular, vulnerable, and yet persistent. "Abrieb" invites you to discover beauty in the incomplete and to sense the stories that hide behind the remaining traces.

Because sometimes it is not the things that stay, but the traces they leave behind.

Biographies:
My name is Sandra Glaser and I live in Trofaiach in beautiful Styria, where I have created a lovingly furnished studio – a place where I can dive completely into my colors, shapes, and thoughts. Since I was a child I have been fascinated by the world of art. This enthusiasm has never left me – it accompanies me to this day and continually inspires me anew. On travels and while visiting numerous exhibitions across Europe I was able to collect many artistic impressions that have shaped my view of painting.
My preferred form of expression is abstract acrylic painting on canvas. In my works I deal primarily with feelings, inner states, landscapes, and fantasy worlds. It is about making visible what cannot be said – emotions, moods, and interspaces that are often expressed only in color and movement.
I paint out of passion. It is for me an intuitive process in which authenticity and depth are at the center. Each work is a piece of myself – an impulse, a memory, a gaze inward and outward at the same time.

For a painting with dimensions 160 x 130 cm you need a stretcher frame of size 150 x 120 cm and a thickness of 2-4 cm.

You can either simply stretch the canvas yourself or have it stretched by an art craftsman or gallery owner.

This is a handmade original, which the artist has signed on the back and dated by year.

High-quality and lightfast acrylic paints were used on a repeatedly white-primed gallery canvas.

Additionally, a varnish was applied to protect the work.

This work is handmade and thus unique!
