Description from the seller

Large and imposing solid bronze figurative sculpture with a dark/black patina, depicting the famous "Apollo Saettante" (Apollo as an archer). This is a faithful period reproduction dating back to the late 19th or early 20th century, crafted for the Grand Tour market. The original Roman statue was excavated in the Temple of Apollo at Pompeii and is today preserved at the National Archaeological Museum of Naples (MANN). The work stands out for its remarkable dimensions and significant physical mass (13.50 kg), features that testify to the high quality of the artisanal casting (attributable to the historic Neapolitan foundries of the period). The statue rests on a solid and elegant base of veined green marble.
Subject: Apollo Saettante (caught in the act of drawing the bow)
Material: Bronze solid with black patina from the period
Base: Green marble (dimensions 30 x 15 cm)
Overall height: 60 cm
Weight: 13.50 kg
Firms/Marks: None present (anonymous Neapolitan manufacture)

The object will be professionally packed and protected with materials designed for heavy and fragile loads (molded foam and reinforcements) to ensure safe and trackable shipping. Free local pickup is also available.
