Manuela Decker (born 1973) is a contemporary German painter who lives and works in Osnabrück. Self-taught, she has developed an unconventional, deeply emotional visual language that moves freely beyond academic constraints. Under the studio name Gallery M, she presents her works to an international audience.

Artistic Profile & Style
Decker’s works are associated with Abstract Expressionism and modern informal art. At the center of her oeuvre is the process of letting go. Her large-scale acrylic paintings often emerge impulsively and intuitively—guided by fleeting moments, moods, and the dynamism of color itself.
* Technique: She favors acrylic paints, soft pastels, and textural mixed media on canvas. The application is layered, sometimes boldly thick, sometimes softly wiped or glazed, giving her paintings a tactile depth.
* Contrasts: A recurring motif is the interplay of extreme opposites. In series such as “Better in black,” she contrasts deep, dark areas with sudden, luminous color explosions or minimalist lines. The imperfect and raw are deliberately staged as aesthetic elements.
