Description from the seller
Color-coordinated lot of four vintage art glass objects, predominantly from the 1970s.
The set is striking for its vibrant sea colors—from aquamarine to deep blue—and includes, among others, significant pieces from the famous Maltese glassworks Mdina Glass.
1.
Glass figure Bird (Deep blue):
A stylized, solid glass bird with the original square Mdina Glass (Malta) foil label.
8 cm high
10 cm total length
7 cm wide
320 g
2.
Spherical vase (Turquoise with ocher veins): A heavy cabaret vase, stylistically and coloristically (Sea-green/Tiger decoration) also characteristic of early Mdina Glass designs (founded by Michael Harris). It features charming sand- and gold-colored line structures inside the glass body.
15 cm high
Top diameter 5 cm
Middle 11 cm
1.2 kg
3.
Seahorse / Horse figure (Blue/clear glass): A small animal sculpture with fine gold inclusions (aventurine style) in the blue glass body, perched on a clear-glass pedestal. Mdina Glass.
13.5 cm high
Middle diameter 6.5 cm
320 g
4.
Vase with colorful inclusions (Light blue, at far left): A well-shaped vase made of light blue opal glass, adorned with an abstract, vertical decoration of colorful glass frits (red, yellow, green, dark blue), reminiscent of the traditional Murano “Millefiori” or splash glass technique.
18 cm high
Top diameter 6 cm
Middle 10 cm
320 g
Condition:
All four pieces are in excellent, age-appropriate vintage condition. No cracks, chips, or major chips. The original paper/foil label on the bird is well preserved and perfectly legible. Minimal, normal sliding marks on the polished stand surfaces.
