First edition of the famous historical work and iconography written by Charles Simond between 1899 and 1901, published in Paris by Plon Nourit et Cie.
3 volumes in quarto size enriched with over 4,000 images.
Half-leather binding with marbled boards and gold-impressed titles on the spine.
The bindings are sound with slight bowing as shown in the last photo of the listing
Slight abrasions on the leather of the spines and light scratches on the boards and small losses in the marbled paper at the corners.
The pages are in excellent condition and show no missing leaves, tears, creases, or stains.
Overall the volumes are in very good, almost excellent condition.
