Description from the seller

Electrified kerosene lamp in blown green glass

This is an antique kerosene lamp converted to electric, consisting of:
- A green blown glass reservoir with relief bumps (partridge-eye or bullé pattern)
- An original brass burner with a Gothic openwork crown and adjustment knob
- A foot in silvered metal/tin with an engraved scrolling frieze
- A beige lampshade with a green trim added later
- An old twisted electrical cable visible

· Material of the reservoir
· The hand-blown green bullé glass is typical of Bohemian or French production in the late 19th century.
· Dating
· 1890 for the original lamp (see inscription under the bottom), electrified probably in the 1950s-1960s.

Very good condition

The medallion is very legible
We can read clearly:
"ALLEMAGNE" (at the top)
"IMPORTÉ" (at the bottom)
With initials or a logo at the center 'HS'
This badge indicates that the burner was manufactured in Germany and imported into France.
French law requiring the mention "Imported from Germany" on German-made products dates from 1887 (mandatory country-of-origin mark)
The burner was therefore manufactured between 1887 and 1914 (before World War I, after which one did not write "Germany" in the same way)

• Base: silvered metal/tin with a circular base and a relief scrolling frieze
• Date engraved on the bottom: 1890 — making it possible to date the piece with certainty
• Electrification: added later (visible old braided cord)
• Lampshade: beige/cream fabric with a green trim, not original
