Key Victorian Style - Strongbox Key

A distinctive warded key for a chest of Italian origin and fine craftsmanship.
The key's structure features a volute head decorated with a cordon, lilies and rosettes, true to an Ionic capital, a solid diamond-shaped shaft, and a finely decorated comb with Florentine lilies.
The symmetric and pierced design of the ward map, which recalls stylized crosses and a series of intricate cuts called gole, was used to overcome the 'armor' and internal wards of a period warded lock, probably for opening chests of high rank.
