Yulanda Ferrer, 2017, PRIVATE DIALOG, XL - NO RESERVE, an original oil painting of an interior scene, signed, 100 cm high by 70 cm wide, in blue, yellow and red tones, sold direct from the artist and shipped rolled in a protective tube with a signed Certificate of Authenticity.
Description from the seller
Description
Private Dialog depicts a woman speaking on the phone while facing her reflection in a mirror. The doubled figure creates an intimate and psychologically ambiguous scene: it may represent a conversation with another person, a private inner dialogue, or a moment of self-observation.
The composition is built around the contrast between deep blue, warm golden ochre and saturated red. The mirror divides the space while also connecting the two figures. Details such as the open notebook, the framed still life and the dark window add a quiet narrative dimension and reinforce the feeling of a suspended private moment.
Expressive brushwork, simplified forms and strong tonal contrasts give the work a contemporary figurative character while preserving the atmosphere of a traditional interior scene.
Artist background
Yulanda Ferrer studied realist painting in Saint Petersburg and now lives and works in Spain. Her practice combines academic figurative training with a contemporary approach to colour, composition and psychological narrative.
