"Beat It – Michael Jackson" is a cinematic figurative painting inspired by the unmistakable movement, energy and visual language associated with Michael Jackson.

A solitary figure in a red jacket is captured in a dynamic pose inside a dark interior, illuminated by a bright doorway behind him. The dramatic light creates long, rhythmic shadows across the floor, intensifying the sense of motion and transforming the scene into a suspended moment between dance, performance and escape.

Artist background

Yгlanda Ferrer studied realist painting in Saint Petersburg and currently lives and works in Spain. Her work combines academic figurative training with a contemporary approach to colour, light and psychological narrative.

Her paintings are held in private collections in Russia, Spain, Italy, France and Canada. In 2026, her work was presented in the exhibition Confluencias. Contemplating Wine at Bodega Rafa Cañizares in Alicante, Spain.
