John Deacons, Scotland. A close-packed millefiori glass paperweight, dated 2008.

A finely executed close-packed millefiori paperweight by the Scottish glassmaker John Deacons, the clear domed weight enclosing an intricate arrangement of predominantly blue, green, pink and white millefiori canes set against a deep cobalt blue ground. The design incorporates John Deacons' trademark thistle cane, one of the maker's recognised signature motifs. The underside with a signature cane dated 2008, retaining the original 'Handmade in Scotland by John Deacons' paper label.

A vibrant and highly decorative example of contemporary Scottish studio glass, displaying the exceptional precision and craftsmanship for which John Deacons is renowned.

In very good overall condition. No chips or cracks. Retains the original manufacturer's paper label with light wear consistent with age.
