Private collection, Paris

Joseph R. Salas Martinez, Cuban artist and designer, was born in 1949; he began studying typography and graphic design in 1972 at the San Alejandro Academy in Havana and took part in the design course of Professor German Sittauer.
In 1973, he began working as a graphic designer and participated in the III Juvénile Hall of Art; three years later, in 1976, he joined the Hermanos Saiz Association. In 1981, he founded the group “Temps libre” (Free Time), with four other designers. In 1992, he joined the Union of Writers and Artists of Cuba (UNEAC) and began working as an independent artist. In 1997, he joined the “Paysage du projet.”

1989: Mention in the 7th Book Art competition in the interior design category, Havana, Cuba.
