Pair of Art Nouveau oil lamps in blue opaline glass with bronze/brass and enamel details, dating to 1980–1990, originating from France, 75 cm wide by 40 cm high by 15 cm deep, two objects with one fitting each, in working order but in poor condition due to significant damage.
Description from the seller
Magnificent pair of antique oil lamps in Napoléon III / 19th century style. The body is made of opaline in a superb deep blue, beautifully decorated with hand-painted gold and white motifs (friezes of foliage). The bases, with chased and worked collars, are original bronze/brass. Each lamp is equipped with its original mechanism with its adjustment key, as well as its long glass chimney tube.
Condition of the item (Please read carefully):
- Opaline body and bronze parts: In very good overall condition, beautiful antique patina.
- Frosted glass globes (Tulips): The two original tulip-shaped globes with floral engravings are present, but they are damaged. One shows a visible crack and the other is broken/re-glued with tape (see photos).
Sold as-is, ideal for collectors, antiques enthusiasts, or for restoration.
