Railway-style pocket watch from the second half of the 19th century, with an oversized case 63.5 mm in diameter, double back cover in 800 silver and slightly bevelled mineral glass, in excellent condition. A few small dents due to use. External back cover, adorned with an engraving of an antique locomotive. The clasps are in good condition. The dial is beautiful and intact – a small crack at 1 to 2 o'clock, otherwise not visible with the bezel closed, with painted floral decorations and inlays at the hour markers. Original gold hands in Louis XV style. The movement runs well – video available – and tested over a 24-hour period, running slow by 4 minutes. Serviced about a year ago.
