Description from the seller

Great Britain
Rare 3-piece Edwardian crystal glass set with sterling silver mounting – Chester, England 1906

Up for auction is an exquisite, three-piece ensemble of heavy, artistically cut crystal glass with fine sterling silver mounting.

This noble set represents the glamorous table culture of the Edwardian era in turn-of-the-century England. The deep diamond- and cross-cut of the glass brilliantly refracts light, giving the objects extraordinary brilliance.

The set consists of:

Large ceremonial chalice vase (center): Imposing tulip form with a flared, faceted rim, resting on a curved stand with silver mounting. Foot with plaster originally filled.

Slim solitaire vase / bud vase (left): Classic miniature vase with delicate cross-cut and a fitted sterling silver cuff at the upper rim.

Small beaker / toothpick holder (right): Cylindrical vessel with distinctive waffle-cut and an ornate silver rim.

Origin: England
Assay office: Chester
Material: Sterling silver (925) and cut crystal glass
Dating: circa 1906
Marks: Maker’s mark TT/EM, Lion Passant, Chester, date letter F
Condition: Good, age-appropriate preservation with light signs of use.

Please refer to the photos for condition; very good with no damage beyond normal wear for age, if any.
