Description from the seller
Incised glass decanter with a mount in silvered bronze – Italy, first half of the 20th century
Refined table or collectible decanter made of blown glass engraved with floral motifs, with a richly decorated gold-plated bronze mount.
The handle, finely chased, ends in a dragon's head, a hallmark of Neo-Renaissance taste and a symbol of strength and protection.
The contrast between the transparency of the engraved glass and the warm glow of the silvered bronze gives the piece a timeless elegance, making it ideal as a decorative or collectible object, perfect for enriching a console, display cabinets, or living rooms in classic and Art Nouveau (Liberty) style.
A common model used as an absinthe container dating from the second half of the 19th century in Italy.
Dimensions: overall height about 30 cm, maximum diameter 10 cm.
In excellent condition with slight signs of aging consistent with its age.
Careful packing and trackable shipping throughout Europe.
