Description from the seller
Description of the work
Contemporary figurative sculpture in brass, entirely handmade.
“Encuentros III – Dialogues” belongs to the series “Encuentros” (Encounters), a set of sculptures in which the artist explores human relationships, communication and the bonds that form between people.
The work represents six figures gathered in three small groups around tables, creating different spaces for meeting and dialogue. Each group seems to develop its own conversation, while at the same time it forms part of a collective composition.
The figures are constructed in a schematic way using brass sheet and wire elements, giving special prominence to the heads, made through interwoven threads. These open structures contrast with the brass bodies and symbolically represent the complexity of thought, emotions and everything that happens inside each individual.
The arrangement of the figures creates an apparently everyday scene, but rendered in a contemporary, essential sculptural language. The tables act as points of connection: places where people meet, share, listen and establish links.
“Dialogues” refers both to the conversation among the figures and to the invisible exchange of ideas, emotions and experiences that occurs in any human encounter.
The artisanal character of the piece is fundamental. The brass sheet has been cut, formed and worked by hand, while the thread elements have been mold/assembled one by one. The construction of the figures requires meticulous balance, proportion and welding/assembly work.
The result is a visually light composition, but rich in detail, where the metal takes on a narrative and human dimension.
Unique piece, not cast nor reproduced.
Sculpture placed on a wooden pedestal with a walnut finish.
Hand-signed by the artist.
It will be delivered with a certificate of authenticity signed by the artist.

Biography:
Artist and jeweler specializing in creating unique metal pieces, where material experimentation becomes a medium of artistic expression.
My work arises from the technical knowledge of the jewelry trade, which evolves toward exploring broader formats, allowing me to develop my own sculptural language. Through brass and working with thread and sheet, I create compositions that combine lightness, balance and tension.
My work sits within contemporary sculpture, with a focus on human relationships, emotional bonds and the invisible structures that connect people. The figures, with simplified forms, contrast with heads built from thread interlacing, symbolizing the complexity of thought and emotion.
Currently, I also experiment with organic shapes inspired by nature, expanding my language toward new expressive lines.
Each piece is made entirely by hand, in an artisanal way, with meticulous attention to detail, resulting in original and unique sculptures.
