Description from the seller

A fascinating and rare Longines square-shaped wristwatch dating exactly to 1950, featuring an extraordinary stepped case in 14-karat gold measuring 28 x 28 mm excluding the crown and lugs. This specific model represents a piece of horological history, born from the Longines-Wittnauer collaboration for the elite North American market of the era: the Swiss manufacture exported the movements which were subsequently housed in New York in splendid gold cases of American manufacture, as certified by the original 14K hallmarks on both the exterior and inside the case back. The vintage dial offers a magnificent perimeter texture with vertically striped guilloché, completed by gold-applied geometric markers and Arabic numerals and the classic leaf hands. Inside ticks the renowned and robust manual-winding mechanical caliber Longines 23Z with 17 jewels, finely finished and identified by serial number 7944684 which confirms its year of production. The watch is completed with a green leather strap that creates an exceptional color contrast with the warm gold tone. It is offered with a 24-month warranty from our shop on the correct functioning of the movement and shipped worldwide with professional packaging via fully tracked and insured shipping.
