Description
“Wild Optimist” is a contemporary floral still-life inspired by Mediterranean gardens, colourful ceramics, and the simple pleasure of bringing fresh flowers indoors. A luminous orange lily bursts from a hand-painted zigzag vase, accompanied by delicate wildflowers that soften the composition with their airy, natural movement.
Balancing bold graphic pattern with expressive painterly brushwork, the painting explores the relationship between cultivated beauty and wild spontaneity. The striking contrast between the warm orange bloom, vibrant pink vessel, deep blue background, and decorative tiled surface creates a composition that feels both playful and sophisticated. Rich layers of acrylic paint, visible brushstrokes, and subtle tonal variations bring warmth, texture, and energy to the work.
Painted on a 30 × 30 cm cradled wood panel, the artwork features fully painted sides, allowing it to be displayed without a frame. The surface is sealed with professional archival varnish to protect the colours and ensure long-lasting durability.
