Description from the seller

Beautiful Moroccan Amazigh heritage. In good condition.
The markings on the blade are traditional smithing or workshop stamps. They tell a lot about the origin and production method of the dagger, the Moroccan Koummya dagger.
46 x 11 x 3.5 cm. Weight 634 g.
Stars and floral motif:
The two stamped stars and the central flower or rosette motif are typical decorative marks used by North African smiths.
Historically they served as a 'signature' to show from which region or workshop the knife originated.
The dots: The small circles or dots around the motifs were manually punched into the metal with a punch. This confirms that the blade is handcrafted and not machine-produced.
This is a Moroccan Koummya dagger, a traditional ceremonial knife from North Africa. The dagger has a curved blade and a striking orange handle with silver-colored decorations and inlay work. The accompanying sheath is also richly decorated with silver-colored metalwork and red stones or coral.
