Atribuido a David Rodrigo, oil on canvas, 46 × 56 cm, a 1995 limited edition Spanish painting of a marine landscape, hand-signed, in excellent condition, sold with a gold-toned carved wooden frame.
Description from the seller
Magnificent original oil painting on canvas depicting a marine landscape in an academic and impressionist style. The work powerfully and dynamically captures the breaking waves against the coastal rocks, highlighting a brilliant play of light from overhead in orange and yellow tones on the sea foam.
Author: David Rodrigo (Salamanca). Hand-signed by the artist in the lower left corner ("D. Rodrigo") in red. This is an exclusive piece from his early stage and training at the University of Salamanca, prior to his evolution toward contemporary lyrical abstraction.
Technique: Oil on canvas with a textured impasto technique on the crests of the waves and rocks, adding volume and three-dimensional relief to the scene.
Style: Late Impressionism / Academic landscape.
Era: Late 20th century (c. 1990-1995).
Condition: Excellent. Both the canvas and the paint layer are perfectly preserved, stable, and ready to hang.
Framing: Includes a majestic antique gold-murnished carved wooden frame that greatly enhances the painting’s visual impact and elegance. Original protective corner guards are preserved for safe transport.
