Copy preserved in its slipcase and case. Very fine copy, with vivid colors.

Paris, Monod - Edition published under the direction of Charles Meunier, with Louis Icart’s etchings printed in intaglio by master printer Manuel Robbe.

Icart’s etchings enjoy worldwide renown, and it is estimated that he produced more than 500 during his lifetime. He also illustrated more than 30 books, many of an erotic character, and became an accomplished painter. His paintings, more personal and less commercial than his etchings, reflect that they were created mainly for his own pleasure and not for an audience.
