Description from the seller
Sagrasse (Sandro Grassetti, born in 1966) is a Marche-based artist whose life is rooted in artisanal craftsmanship. For forty years he worked in the shadows of his workshop in a small municipality among the hills of Marche, specializing at the highest level in resin processing, painting, and chroming.
The turning point of his life comes with the COVID-19 pandemic: the forced lockdown and the suspension of time become an emotional catalyst, pushing him to unleash the artistic urgency he had always kept inside. What for decades had been “only” an artisanal technique of excellence thus becomes the means to give life to modern, vibrant, and ironical pop sculptures. Today Sagrasse has transformed his know-how as a craftsman into a recognized language of contemporary art, proving that it is never too late to give voice to one’s most authentic talent.

In recent years his work has earned important public and private recognitions, culminating in participation in prestigious exhibitions. Among these, notable are participation in the Contemporary Art Exhibition “Arte Venezia” in 2025, collaboration with the Center for Art and Culture VERUM, and inclusion of his works within the renowned Private Collection Fuser. From craftsman to signature of the Neo-Pop landscape, Sagrasse proves how a life’s experience can be transformed into pure and recognized artistic expression.
Sagrasse is not merely an artist who uses resin; he is a master craftsman who has freed the technique from the constraint of function, putting it at the service of the imagination. His works are colorful mirrors in which our society is reflected: pop, brilliant, ironical, and irresistibly modern.
Sagrasse’s work fits perfectly in the path of New Pop Art and Urban Art. If the association with Banksy is evident for the strong satirical charge, irony, and the ability to reinterpret everyday icons or pop culture in a critical key, Sagrasse’s universe communicates closely with other giants of the international scene such as Jeff Koons, KAWS, Takashi Murakami, Mr. Brainwash, Richard Orlinski.
The object is an exclusive Sagrasse creation.
It is a handcrafted artwork, conceived and produced entirely in Italy. The small imperfections that may be found are the natural feature of the entirely manual process.
It is recommended not to expose to heat sources; clean without using detergents, but only with a soft cloth."}
