Sagrasse, Change point of view, a 2023 resin sculpture in light blue limited edition 499ex, measuring 30x21x20 cm, hand-signed, new, made in Italy.
Description from the seller
Sagrasse (Sandro Grassetti, born 1966) is a Marche-born artist whose life is rooted in skilled craftsmanship. For forty years he worked in the shadow of his workshop in a small municipality among the hills of the Marche region, specializing at the highest level in resin work, varnishing, and chrome plating. The turning point of his life comes with the COVID-19 pandemic: the enforced lockdown and suspended time become an emotional catalyst, pushing him to unleash the artistic urgency he had always kept inside. What for decades had been “only” a field of excellence in technique thus becomes the means to bring to life modern, vibrant, and ironic pop sculptures. Today Sagrasse has transformed his artisanal know-how into a recognized language of contemporary art, proving that it is never too late to give voice to one’s most authentic talent.

In recent years his work has earned important public and private recognitions, culminating in participation in prestigious art exhibitions. Notable among them is the presence at the Contemporary Art Review "Arte Venezia" in 2025, the collaboration with the VERUM Center for Art and Culture, and the inclusion of his works within the renowned private collection Fuser. From craftsman to a signature of the Neo-Pop panorama, Sagrasse shows how a lifetime of experience can be transformed into pure and recognized artistic expression.
Sagrasse is not merely an artist who uses resin; he is a master craftsman who has freed the technique from the constraint of function, putting it at the service of imagination. His works are colored mirrors in which our society is reflected: pop, brilliant, ironic, and irresistibly modern.
Sagrasse’s work sits perfectly in the track of New Pop Art and Urban Art. While the association with Banksy is evident for its strong satirical charge, irony, and the ability to reinterpret icons of daily life or pop culture in a critical light, Sagrasse’s universe closely dialogues with other giants of the international scene such as Jeff Koons, KAWS, Takashi Murakami, Mr. Brainwash, and Richard Orlinski.
The object is an exclusive Sagrasse creation.
It is a handmade work, conceived and produced entirely in Italy. The small imperfections that may be found are the natural feature of entirely manual craftsmanship.
Please avoid exposing it to heat sources; clean with only a soft cloth, without detergents.
