This painting signed C. Verschuur is the work of the Dutch painter Cor Bouter (1888-1966). He regularly used this pseudonym for his traditional, figurative works that are strongly inspired by the Hague School.

Zijn oeuvre omvat voornamelijk landschappen met vee (zoals schaapskuddes en koeien), boerderijtaferelen en stadsgezichten. Prijzen voor originele werken van zijn hand variëren op veilingen en platformen, waarbij ze soms enkele honderden euro's opbrengen.
