Description from the seller
Early 20th Century European Decorative Advertising Tin Collection – Set of 6 Lithographed Metal Boxes
An attractive collection of six vintage European lithographed advertising tins dating from the early 20th century. Featuring colorful graphics, floral motifs, and charming commercial illustrations, this ensemble reflects the golden age of decorative packaging and offers a wonderful glimpse into European confectionery, cocoa, spice, and household advertising.
The collection includes tins from brands such as Vigneron Ducret (Saint-Amand, France), Bensdorp Amsterdam (Holland), an illustrated Épices Rabelais spice tin, a decorative floral storage tin, and two additional ornamental tins, including a distinctive gaming-themed example. Each piece displays period lithography with rich colors, decorative typography, and authentic vintage character.
Origin: Europe, early 20th century. The tins are manufactured in lithographed metal and retain their original printed decoration. They show signs of age, including scratches, oxidation, paint wear, and small dents consistent with long-term use, enhancing their authentic patina and collectible appeal.
Dimensions:
Largest tin: Height 13.5 cm (5.31 in), Width 16.2 cm (6.38 in), Depth 12.2 cm (4.80 in)
Smallest round tin: Diameter 9 cm (3.54 in), Height 3.7 cm (1.46 in)
This decorative group is ideal for collectors of antique advertising, vintage packaging, European lithographed tins, or as an eye-catching display in a kitchen, café, or period interior. A charming and increasingly sought-after collection that beautifully illustrates the artistry of early commercial design.
