Description from the seller
Sagrasse (Sandro Grassetti, born in 1966) is a Marche-born artist whose life is rooted in artisanal mastery. For forty years he worked in the shadows of his workshop in a small municipality among the hills of Marche, specializing at the highest levels in resin processing, painting, and chrome plating.
The turning point of his life comes with the COVID-19 pandemic: the forced lockdown and the suspension of time become an emotional catalyst, pushing him to release the artistic urgency he had always guarded. What for decades had been “only” a technique of excellence thus becomes the means to give life to modern, vibrant, and ironic pop sculptures. Today Sagrasse has transformed his artisanal know-how into a recognized language of contemporary art, proving that it is never too late to give voice to one’s most authentic talent.

In recent years his work has received important public and private recognitions, culminating in participation in prestigious exhibitions. Among these stand out a presence at the Contemporary Art Exhibition “Arte Venezia” in 2025, the collaboration with the VERUM Center for Art and Culture, and the inclusion of his works within the renowned Private Collection Fuser. From craftsman to a signature of the Neo-Pop landscape, Sagrasse shows how a lifetime of experience can transform into pure and recognized artistic expression.
Sagrasse is not simply an artist who uses resin; he is a master craftsman who has freed the technique from the constraint of function, putting it at the service of imagination. His works are colored mirrors in which our society is reflected: pop, brilliant, ironic, and irresistibly modern.
Sagrasse’s work sits squarely in the line of New Pop Art and Urban Art. If the comparison to Banksy is evident for its strong satirical charge, irony, and the ability to reinterpret icons of everyday life or pop culture in a critical key, Sagrasse’s universe closely dialogues with other giants of the international scene such as Jeff Koons, KAWS, Takashi Murakami, Mr. Brainwash, and Richard Orlinski.
The object is an exclusive Sagrasse creation.
It is a handcrafted work, conceived and made entirely in Italy.
The small imperfections that may be noticed are the natural characteristic of the entirely manual production.
It is recommended not to expose to heat sources; clean without using detergents, but only with a soft cloth.
