Large antique solid silver pendant, garnet, coral and citrine
bearing an old assay mark and also tested with the appropriate acid for silver.

This piece features a superb openwork and chased decoration, adorned in its center with a sizable garnet cabochon. The stone is very dark and its closed back setting does not easily permit appreciation of its transparency; it shows slight wear on the table, consistent with its age. The top of the pendant is embellished with a faceted citrine, while the drops and the lateral elements are decorated with natural coral beads.

The whole is in very good condition for its age, with a beautiful original patina.

Cette pièce présente un superbe décor ajouré et ciselé, orné en son centre d’un important grenat taillé en cabochon. La pierre est très sombre et son serti clos ne permet pas d’apprécier facilement sa transparence ; elle présente une légère usure sur la table, conforme à son ancienneté. Le haut du pendentif est agrémenté d’une citrine facettée, tandis que les pampilles et les éléments latéraux sont décorés de perles de corail naturel.

L’ensemble est en très bel état de conservation pour son âge, avec une belle patine d’origine.
