The blue here is not uniform but traversed by a greenish breath, as if two atmospheres overlapped without fully merging. The red flowers, small and spaced apart, do not form a mass but a sequence — isolated points that rise along the full height of the canvas, each on its own thin stem, almost a staff of parallel stems. What sets this work apart is the double dusting: white granules and light green coexist on the same surface, giving the impression of two snowfalls superimposed, one cold and one warmer. There is no real center: the distribution of the flowers remains almost regular from top to bottom, without the densification typical of other canvases in the series.
