Dagger - India - 1930 - 1990

1) A traditional dagger from India (often originating from the Kashmir region). This craft was made in the 20th century. The hilt (handle) and the sheath are made of hand-cut hardwood, decorated with traditional floral or leaf-shaped motifs. The dagger is equipped with a brass crossguard and a metal tip at the end of the sheath. The brass strip on the sheath is a spring click or locking mechanism. This clicks behind the blade’s crossguard, so it cannot easily fall out of the sheath.
2) The machete is from the well-known brand Tramontina, produced in Brazil. Tramontina was founded in 1911 and is one of the largest and most respected machete manufacturers in the world. The grip is made of Brazilian hardwood and is clamped to the steel with three sturdy rivets. The wood provides a good, natural grip that remains comfortable even with intensive use.
3) German hunting knife, produced in the well-known knife city of Solingen. Handle: The knife features a prominent cast aluminum pommel and crossguard, with an inlaid grip of black plastic (often Bakelite or celluloid) alternating with aluminum rings. This type of handle was very popular between the 1950s and 1970s among German manufacturers such as Edge Brand, Hubertus, Linder and ERN.
4) This is a classic Bowie knife, characterized by a wooden handle and brass components, such as the guard and the pommel at the end of the grip. On the blade there is an inscription reading "Original Bowie Knife." This type of knife was produced in the mid-20th century (notably in the 60s and 70s) by well-known knife makers from Solingen, Germany.
5) This is a classic Bowie hunting knife with a striking, artistically carved handle and a corresponding leather sheath. Knife features: The blade is a sturdy stainless steel blade, marked with "China." It has the typical 'clip point' shape that is characteristic for a traditional Bowie knife.
6) This is a Swedish Morakniv (Mora knife), an iconic Scandinavian utilitarian knife produced in the Mora region. On the blade is the inscription "Rostfritt Stål – Sweden – Morakniv." Made from Swedish stainless steel. The knife features the characteristic barrel-shaped wooden handle and is equipped with a traditional leather sheath finished with an insert of animal hide and fur (often reindeer or cow hide). Second half of the 20th century (ca. 1960s). Origin: Manufactured in Mora, Sweden.
7) This is a classic vintage hunting knife or scout knife from the mid-20th century (circa 1930s to 1950s). The knife features a handle of stacked leather rings and is accompanied by a distinctive leather-woven sheath. Manufacturers from Solingen, Germany (such as Linder or Hubertz) exported a lot to the American and European market at the time.
