Description from the seller

This is about a pair of antique salt cellars with cobalt blue glass inserts and silver supports.

These items are made of solid 800 silver!!

Salt cellars were historically important and decorative pieces on the table, often crafted in noble materials.

Weight with cobalt glass: 180 g; weight of the silver alone: 93 g

The design features a pierced band with cusped motifs and supports in the shape of ferine paws and grotesque masks, typical of antique silverware.

They can be traced to periods such as the 19th century or the Napoleonic Empire, depending on the hallmarking.
