Description from the seller
This screen print is made with a second-hand plush teddy bear and two inks (Warm Rose and deep dark blue/purple). The original teddy bear was dipped in Indian ink and pressed entirely onto paper. From this original artwork, a screen print was made in an edition of 25 bears.
Technique: Hand-pulled screen print on 340-gram (acid-free) handmade paper
Includes: Artist Certificate of Authenticity

Michiel Folkers a.k.a. Gieler (1982) began graffiti in Amsterdam in the late nineties. Years later he swapped street walls for canvas in his studio. In much of his work the feeling of the streets can still be seen or felt. At the moment his work travels the world and he exhibits in galleries from Zurich to New York. Especially in America his work has become popular in recent years, and it hangs in the homes of several famous people.
