Lamp - Brass - Bouillotte lamp

This beautiful Bouillotte lamp with a metal shade is, of course, a real eye-catcher!
In the past it was placed in the center of a round gaming table, the so-called Bouillotte table, and the lamp was the main light source for the players who were involved in a round.
As the stakes rose and the game became more exciting, the adjustable tin cap could be lowered to better concentrate the light from the flickering flames of a waning candle.
Nowadays this lamp takes small bulbs (E14 small screw fitting) and this Bouillotte lamp is made of brass.
The lamp is in vintage/antique condition and shows a few signs of wear and aging here and there.
Sold without the used bulbs.
