This painting presents a forest landscape of extraordinary vitality, in which vegetation unfolds around a tranquil water surface. The scene conveys the feeling of having discovered a secluded nook, hidden among trees and wild plants, where nature maintains all its strength. From the first moment, the gaze is drawn to the abundance of greens, the depth of the shadows and the glints of light that appear between the branches.

The pond occupies the central and lower part of the composition and acts as an irregular mirror that captures the colors of the surroundings. Its surface combines dark greens, grays, blue-greens and small yellow reflections, suggesting serene water barely disturbed by movement. The reflections do not reproduce the trees and plants exactly, but transform them into wavy shapes, adding mystery and a rich visual complexity.

At the edges a lush vegetation accumulates, formed by grasses, shrubs, small plants and branches that seem to grow freely. The yellow and light greens illuminate certain points, while browns, violets and deep greens define the damper, shadowy areas. This chromatic diversity allows perceiving the richness of the terrain and turns every corner of the scene into a small discovery.

The trees rise strongly on different planes and structure the whole composition with their vertical trunks and intertwined branches. The sky appears partially hidden by the treetops and is depicted with whites, soft grays, blue-greens and light greenish tints.
