AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

Very elegant baluster vase in hard porcelain from the Manufacture nationale de Sèvres, dated 1910 by the mark beneath the base.

The piece features a superb deep blue enamel, known as bleu de four / bleu de Sèvres, animated by intense cobalt tones and deep reflections depending on the light.

The decoration consists of delicate gilded clovers arranged with great lightness on the body, the neck and the base, in a refined spirit typical of French decorative productions from the early 20th century.

The contrast between the intense blue of the porcelain and the finesse of the gilding gives this vase a very elegant presence, at once sober, precious and decorative. Its small size, 17 cm in height, makes it easy to integrate into a display case, a bookshelf, a console or a collection of antique ceramics.

The baluster form is harmonious: a generous body, a tightened base, a short neck and an opening outlined by a fine gilded edge. The interior is white-glazed, creating a beautiful contrast with the blue exterior.

Under the base is a triangular mark with the letter “S” and the date “1910”, corresponding to a Sèvres production from the early 20th century.

The piece is in very good condition: no chips, no cracks, no visible restorations. The gilding is particularly well preserved for a piece of this age. Very light superficial traces can be observed on close examination, normal for old porcelain, but they do not alter the aesthetics or decorative value of the object.

A beautiful collectible vase, decorative and refined, ideal for a lover of French porcelain, Sèvres, bleu de four or early 20th-century antique ceramics.
