Metal - Cross pendant

Old Jeannette cross in gold-plated, recessed work, decorated on both faces (recto-verso). It bears a “gold-plated” hallmark located at the top, just before the bail.

The Jeannette crosses are traditional French regional jewelry, worn mainly in the 19th century and the early 20th century. They were often given on the occasion of a communion, a confirmation, or other religious events, and today they constitute a sought-after testament to French popular jewelry.

Good antique condition with slight signs of wear, in keeping with its age.
