French contemporary artist, Léo Varek today develops a series of pop-inspired canvases drawing on street art codes, built around a strong visual energy.
Before this studio work, I completed numerous monumental frescoes, notably in Europe, including an intervention of more than 600 m² in Courchevel, France. This background directly informs my current approach, more condensed, but always guided by visual impact.
My works are now distributed internationally and shipped worldwide.
Each canvas is handmade in my studio in France, using mixed techniques combining acrylic and spray paint.
I work spontaneously to preserve a tension in the gesture, strong contrasts and a real vibrancy of the colors.
