Monumental and impressive large rectangular serving tray with handles in solid 800 silver, Italy, mid-20th century, circa 1940-1960.
This is a very large and heavy piece, exceptionally crafted:
• Dimensions: 66 cm length with handles x 38 cm width (approx. 26 x 15 inches)

• Material: Solid 800 silver, tested
The tray features a wavy, fluted rim with a continuous hand-chased rose decoration in high relief around the entire border. The two double-scroll handles are finely decorated with large blooming roses, typical of Italian floral silverwork.
Hallmarks: Original Italian hallmarks visible on the rim: 800 fineness mark and silversmith's lozenge mark (partially worn but readable, see close-up photos).
Condition: In good overall condition. Solid, no dents, no repairs, handles firmly attached. Shows normal light surface scratches and signs of use from age, visible under light, consistent with its age. Original patina, never aggressively polished. Ready to use or to be gently cleaned by the collector.
A stunning statement centerpiece and a prestigious serving piece. Very rare to find in this size and weight.
