In a yellow beret, the sunset fades away,
The blue of the waves flows right into your sleeve,
Your dress is made of sand, melting with the spray,
You are the vast ocean, though you don't believe.

And yet you just stand there. A chain binds your feet,
Your hand grips the anchor in a hesitant bend,
While the bird on your fingers, with a wild heartbeat,
Tempts you with a sky that has no clear end.

To feel all this longing with nothing to soothe,
To see your own boundless self, and still stay on the shore.
To shackle your own soul and refuse to move,
When inside your chest, the whole sea wants to roar.
