Antique brass fireplace set (4-piece) with marked brass holder – c. 1920–1950
Object description
Decorative and functional antique fireplace set consisting of four parts, comprising three tools and a corresponding heavy brass holder.
The set consists of:
The holder:
A sturdy cylindrical brass tube with a flared rim, featuring an impressed cartouche with the text "5 KAN". The holder has a characteristic design and forms a striking element of the set.
The poker:
Equipped with a decorative open-work metal blade and a sturdy handle.
The tongs:
Equipped with an elegantly curved handle with a classical appearance.
The shovel:
A traditional implement for moving and arranging wood in the hearth.
All tools are finished with turned brass handles that sit comfortably in the hand. The combination of brass, wrought iron and authentic signs of use makes this set a atmospheric object for lovers of classic fireplaces, rustic interiors and antique implements.
