Description from the seller
Francesca Morlacchi
Master of Art, Equine Artist and Emerging Contemporary Artist.
Francesca Morlacchi was born in the province of Bergamo in 1976, and from her early steps she has been enchanted by horses, living in contact with them those deep emotions that fill the soul and heart with joy. Sometimes words are not enough to describe these wonderful animals in all their natural, powerful and complex beauty. After a schooling strongly artistic, attending the Istituto d’arte Andrea Fantoni and the Brera Academy, painting section, Francesca Morlacchi continues to draw, paint and portray especially horses.
She obtains excellent critical reviews and feedback that are a continual confirmation, receives awards and honorable mentions and also achieves a good exhibition résumé in several National Galleries and some international expos.
Figures among Contemporary Artists in the official catalogs of Modern and Contemporary Art by Mondadori and the Italian Art Encyclopedia.
Selected by director Alberto Nacci for the project '100 Faces of Bergamo Artists': catalog and video interviews.
Honorary member of the Paard Verzameld Equine Art Service Agency.
She has also exhibited, during show jumping competitions, both national and international.
She has collaborated with the Horse Angels association for a fundraising campaign, donating a work for a charity auction.
From May 1 to 4 she exhibited in Travagliato horses and painted for four days a horse at real size, a work later donated to the organizing committee.
Curator Federico Caloi, current artistic coefficient 1.2.
'Post Partum' is the portrait of a Lusitanian broodmare, immortalized a few hours after foaling. It captivated me with her splendid blue eye, tired yet serene, her relaxed pose and the almost sacred silence of this moment, where a new life has arrived thanks to this splendid broodmare.
The work is sold with the canvas, varnished and accompanied by a hand-signed certificate of authenticity.
